TrafficBux
Method: PTR

Another GPT network script in use here which means you have to
remember to click the right number at the end of an ad count down.
TrafficBux looks like any other PTR site using this script apart
from the colours of course but when you check their terms you may
notice nothing new there either. It seems a lot of the people who
are creating these sites have no unique business plan in place given
the naive copying of flawed terms and conditions such as “ the right
to ban, delete your account without warning or notice” which
basically gives them permission to scam your earnings off you before
you reach payout.
Hopefully we will see the leading PTC sites also scrap this rule
soon too as it is dated and flawed. The rest of the terms and
conditions here are also just copied but nothing else that is
unreasonable. The great thing about this PTR is their PTC section
included 18 ads to click on the day of testing (most of which were
points ads) but surprisingly we found 1 ad for $0.01 which is very
unusual for a PTR site. We found the first one to be doing this
yesterday with Jill’s Click Corner.
Performance
Can’t say its light weight with one $0.01 ad so we place this PTR as
the second mid weight PTR we have come across. One thing that must
be added about this ad though is the wait is 60 seconds which is
half over what you would normally have to wait for on a normal PTC
site. It makes you wonder why they had to increase the time here
just because it’s a PTR site.
Given that this is a PTR site we have activated the emails to see if
there are any earnings increases here too. We don’t expect to find
any $0.01 emails but it will be interesting to find out if the rates
are better here.
Evaluation
Advertising is very expensive here for a PTR site since you can
expect to pay $12 for 2000 link ads or $13 for 2000 paid to read
ads. This might explain how they can reward their clickers better
but also begs the question who would want to advertise on a new site
with few members paying those prices. What ever the case they are
not short on advertising which probably means they are at least
advertising their own site in many other places.
It’s going to be interesting to see how this site does over the next
month and until we know more about PTR Traffic we will not give it a
rating.
