Improvements
Not
long ago we did our first review of ClixMX.com which achieved the UOB
rating of 6.50 due to its high performance and industry standard prices.
Since then the sites traffic has improved by a large amount which is
impressive in such a short space of time. On there last review their
traffic rank was 517,770 and today it sits pretty at 158,238.
What
has been sustained?
Although the site has moved up in terms of traffic they have not made
any major changes to their prices. In fact there are no price changes
found which means the site is becoming more successful and becoming
better value for money if you are looking to advertise here. The
advertising was good the first time round and now they are the same
price but more effective.
What
still needs to improve?
The
design of the site has never been a terrible issue here as the layout is
unique at least. However this site still does not have a unique or
memorable corporate ID. This is quite important because logos make a
brand stand out and here there is just white text with no graphic on a
dark background. There is just something about this site that screams it
needs a more graphic logo that will make the design stand out and become
a brand name to remember.
Like so
many PTC sites this site has that terrible copied TOS page that no PTC
admin seems to be able to edit as they should for their own site. The
common line that reads
“We
have the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for
any reason”
It is
quite large error that no PTC site should have, especially since it has
been circulating on PTC sites for around a year already as an overlooked
error. Regardless of what that line reads it is not a good business
policy as any reason could mean just that. With this line on a TOS you
could have your account terminated for having a user name beginning with
G or any other random or unfair reason.
A PTC
admin should only be able to terminate and account for a VALID reason.
We fail to see why it is so hard for their PTC sites to simply put the
word valid in there. Because sites are still overlooking this error we
are clamping down on it more and more. When rating a PTC site they lose
0.5 points for having this error. In a month from now we will increase
the penalty to 1 whole point. This is an easy penalty to avoid so one
could say to the administrators “wake up and fix your TOS pages it’s
been a year already”.
Conclusion
Aside
from missing a few easily earned points this site on the whole is
showing a good level of consistent success on both the Alexa chart and
their ability to pay their members on time. The amount of success
stories on this site had increased dramatically since we were last here
and that is a good sign. There still seems to be plenty of ads to click
for standard members here and still a minimum of 20 for premium members.
Right from the start premium membership has been a good purchase on this
site.
