The Affiliate Code – review
Mar 11th
The Affiliate Code snagged the 2nd position in the sales top list and since there has been very few interesting products in the market lately I decided to take a look at it.
It is no secret that the info product gurus are copy cats and basically; if you buy one then you have seen them all. The Affiliate Code covers basically everything you learned from older products like Commission Blueprint and similar products.
There really is nothing revoutionary or new to be found in The Affiliate Code. The good thing is is covers basically everything you need to know about working as an affilite. So yes, it is a good newbie product.
To summarize, The Affiliate Code constists of training videos that will show you step by step all you have to do to make money online from affiliate programs by using free traffic techniques.
Modules:
Module 1: Picking A Profitable Niche
Module 2: Choosing The Right Product
Module 3: Affiliate Website Set up
Module 4: Using an Autoresponder
Module 5: Copywriting Secrets
Module 6: Getting Free Traffic
Module 7: Tracking Your Results
Module 8: Scaling it Up
For those who have been around for a while and bought info products in the past, the Affiliate Code is probably not for you. The little new information there is can be found on affiliate forums and discussion groups.

Cloaking and redirects
In the SEO realm, it is well known that Google does not like affiliate links. To encumber the whole blog with banners, Adsense ads and other adverts is not a good move if you want to be on good terms with the search engine we all love to hate. Google dominates, and if you are in Google’s bad book your whole future as an internet marketer is wavering on the edge of a cliff. If you do not make radical changes on your blog / website and focus more on quality content, you risk losing your future income.
Once you’ve been punished for keyword spamming, link spamming or affiliate-link spamming it may take a while before your site’s reputation is recovered. Better avoid that punishment from the start, right?
As a blogger, you don’t need to worry about this as much as if you have a regular web site. Your position in the blog charts will not change regardless of what Google thinks. However you lose the organic traffic from search engines and it can sometimes be quite a lot of traffic involved.
How unlikely it may seem for us bloggers people are, first and foremost, searching for information in the usual way; via search engines. This is easy to forget sometimes.
There, thats was problem number 1; Google’s reluctance to affiliate links.
Problem number 2 is the visitors who do not think you should earn commission from your links and they remove tracker code from the URLs. On top of it all, there are hackers who like to hijack your affiliate links and steal commission from you.
It’s a cruel world we live in.
Sure, but then we can just use cloak links, right? Cloaking means hiding affiliate links using other links. In other words, you get another link pointing to the correct link.
There is only one small catch … Google does not like cloak links, either.
Plague or cholera? Or maybe a little of each? Sometimes you only get bad options and have to make the best out of the situation. My suggestion is not to exaggerate in any direction. Use a little of both and stay alert.
Here are some simple ways to cloak and redirect links:
HTML, PHP and Java – redirecs
One way is to make a so-called HTML redirect. You simply create a page on your own domain, and that page will redirect the traffic on to the sales page.
<meta http-equiv=”REFRESH” content=”0;url=http://www.link.com”>
Simply replace www.link.com with your affiliate link.
The problem is that the code for redirects to be added inside <head> and </ head> tags, which complicates things when you have a blog.
Instead, you can use a simple javascript:
<script type=”text/javascript”>
<!–
window.location = “http://www.link.com”
//–></script>
This redirect show no trace on the page, but is making it difficult to keep statistics. The same applies for redirection with PHP. The code looks like this:
<?php
header(“Location: http://www.link.com”);
?>
You can also use redirect with htaccess, but that topic is a bit over the top. However, I will raise the subject at a later date.
Cloaking services
I do not recommend online cloaking services because many of them are just trying to take advantage of all the free traffic they get and there are also scam sites that replace your links with their own. It may take a while before you even realize it and who knows how much money you’ve lost then?
As if that wasn’t enough, Google will immediately find your cloak links and start frowning.
If you still want to use a cloaking service you can visit TinyURL. From what I know they do not hijack affiliate links, but it has happened that they delete links so they no longer work.
I strongly recommend that you use the tag rel = “nofollow” on your cloak links, so the search engine crawlers don’t start sniffing about. This also applies on your redirect pages.
SEO scammers
Mar 9th
Buying services from an SEO consultant is quite expensive and they can never guarantee the desired result. Since we have been working with search engine optimization for a few years new, it is only natural that we stay updated with what’s going on in the industry.
Just recently we found that 4 of the largest SEO consultants out there charge for “expertise” that really is a pile of BS. The reason I am saying this is because all they did for their clients was to list the site URL in a bunch of low quality link portals (around 400 of them to be more precise) and they listed the client’s site on Google Maps.
Sure Google Maps is a great way to get web presence very fast but it is a FREE service, not something a client should have to pay $15,000 for. In fact it takes about 3 minutes to get listed with Google Maps and there is just no excuse for charging the client that amount. Specially since these consultants did no on-page SEO-work whatsoever.
If you are considering buying services from a SEO consultant, make sure you are getting quality expertise and not just link spamming.
List you site on Google Maps to gain quality score.
Update: UrOnlineBiz does not provide SEO services, we just work with SEO on our own websites.
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Typically, the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.

A little update on what new and what’s coming
Mar 2nd
UrOnlineBiz has been around since July 2007 and over the years we have developed over a dozen e-businesses and learnt a lot about online marketing and webpreneurship.
It is a never ending process of learning and being updated with the latest marketing techniques and strategies… if you want to stay on top and beat the competition, that is.
It is quite funny to think back in the early days when we though making $500 – 1,000 per week was a lot and we celebrated every time we reached the magic line at $3,000 per week. What I find most hard to believe is that we actually bothered to participate in the PTC industry and how much time we spent on creating loads of splash and landing pages that only generated a couple of hundred per month. I wouldn’t say it was a waste of time, because we really learned from it (mistakes and what strategies that doesn’t work) and these days we don’t buy the hype and don’t fall for cheap guru info products.
What happened that made us change our minds?
Well first off, the PTC industry is insecure and full of scams and a complete waste of time. Second, all this talk about creating landing pages in combination with PPC advertising is also a bunch of hype. In 99% of the time you lose money, rather than earn.
3rd; e-mail marketing is also highly overrated since most of your messages will go to the junk folder or bounce. E-mail marketing is for spammers in our opinion.
We started moved our sites to blog platsforms a little over a year ago and in 3-5 months the incomes hade increased 200%- 300%. There simply is no way to beat the blog phenomena when it comes to making money online. Plus working with a website becomes much easier with a proper content management system. The site doesn’t even have to look like a blog, but ca look just like any online shop or site. On top of it all you get the search engine crawlers visiting your site/blog several times per day and you can reach #1 positions on the SERP in no time.
There are a lot more advantages with blogging platforms that we will talk about later on.
What will change on the site?
First off the membership pages are gone. VIP-members should cancel their subscriptions asap in theirPayPal accounts. We have cancelled the billing services and we hope that it automatically will stop all billing (the provider said it should). If anyone gets billed from March 1st please contact us and we will refund.
We have over 11,000 subscribers and over 400 VIP-members but we are no longer depending on membership fees to have the site running. No more signing in or paying for VIP-content. Except for digital products/reseller right products all the information will be free for anyone to access.
The forum is gone. Members can discuss articles and business here on the site by writing comments. At the end, before we started this site’s makeover, the forum was just an asylum for russian spammers really.
Old articles
, will they be back?
Yes, we will republish most of our articles and guides and some of the download-able content will be available. We are just going to do a spring cleaning and wipe out the outdated and irrelevant info products/articles before we republish them. We used to have more than 200 ebooks available for download, more than 500 scripts, 200 web templates and loads of other stuff. With this being said, we need some time to sort everything out. But we’ll do it, step by step, and add new articles at the same time.
The last 10 years in online marketing has been a long learning curve but I have to say that the last 1½ years has been the most rewarding. Suddenly all the pieces in the jigsaw puzzle fit and THAT is what UrOnlineBiz will be focusing on from now on; showing you how to solve the puzzle!

Beginner’s guide to making money online
Mar 1st
What are your options?
It has been quite a while since I wrote articles for beginners and since the questions pile up I thought I would write down some options (there are more opttions out there though) you have to make money online and what is required of you to become successful. I also talk about the risks and downbsides with each method.
Resell rights
It is very popular to sell products with resell rights or privale label rights. The biggests advantage with this form of selling is that you will make money instantly when someone buy a product from you. You also get 100% of the profit. As an affiliate you earn a percentage of the sales amount, you will have to reach the minimum payout and wait up to 2 months before you actually see a paycheck. The disadvantage is that you will need your own website, forum or blog to promote the products. This sometimes means you will have to create a site from scratch but often you get a ready template that you can just kodify a bit and upload to your hosting account. You have to know how to create payment buttons and paste the code in your site but you find full instructions on the payment processors’ websites.
You find a big list of resell rights products you can promote
Blogging
A successful blogger can make millions! The richest bloggers are those that write about a certain topic like fashion, cars, music, games, IT and so on and get hundreds of thousands visitors per week. 2-5 blog posts per day is necessary in order to succeed and the money comes mainly from advertising and promoting affiliate products/services. The more popular your blog is the more advertisers will want to display their banners in your blog. There is a huge series of articles about becoming a super blogger in the where you find info on how to get started, how to get advertisers and much much more.
These are some of the most common methods to make money online and as you probably figured out already, none of them comes without a bit of work. How much you will earn depends on how much effort you put in and how much you know about marketing. There are great guides available online in order to learn more and the hottest guides and sofware is found on the top list. We update the page weekly so that you can be sure to get you hands on up to date guides. We also test and review some of the products so you knoiw exactly what you get for your money.
Affiliate
As an affiliate you earn commission by promotoing other people’s/companies’ products or services. There are many affiliate networks you can join to find products to promote.
In order to make a living as an affiliate you have to build a website or a blog and use it as a pre-sell page. You can also work with a contact list and do email promoting. You mustn’t just send traffic to the merchants website and hope for the best. That used to work a few years ago but those days are over and if you do that you will loose money.
Today you need to convince your readers to buy a products and put them in the right state of mind before they visit the merchant’s website
You need to know about writing copy that sells, a bit of search engine optimization, write ads that will not cost you fortune but yet get you a lot of traffic. You also need to do keyword research and babysit your campaigns, track the traffic and sales in order to remove the campaigns that doesn’t work and scale the ones that are profitable. Tracking is the key to the cash here.
There is no way to make money as an affiliate with just a few minutes of work per day, it can be hard work but when you strike gold with your campaigns it is well worth it.
Trading with domains can be very profitable but it requires quite a bit of work and research. You have to be a little bit of a fortuneteller and predict what domains will be popular in the near of far future. Some domains you will have to sit on for a few years before they can be sold and some can be sold after only a cuople of months.
The best way to earn money fast with domain trading is to do what we call site site flipping. This means you buy a new or existing domain and create a website. Then you start sending traffic to that website and raise the value of the domain that way. There are a lot of free information about domain trading on our sister site DomainDominating.com where you learn exactly what to do in order to raise the value of a domain, how and where to sell and how much you should ask for.
Stock/currency trading
This used to be a niche for people with razor sharp knowledge about the stock/currency market and who read Financial Times daily. Today there are robots and services you can use that will help you pick stocks/currencies with potential and they will tell you what to buy, when to buy and when to sell. Is sounds like a dream, right? Well there are still risks, the robots cannot predict everything and sometimes you can loose money instead of earn. Not every stock/currency is a winner and your best chance is to also stay updated with the world economy and do your own thinking. To get started you need to sign up with a stock broker/currency borker service like e-Trade/Forex and transfer money to your account. From the trader account you can buy and sell stocks and currencies and you get real time stats and news. Every transaction will cost you some money so you have to take that into consideration when buying or selling.
PT Sites
Paid To sites offer money when a visitor read ads or email. The payment is very low and your best chance to earn money is to refer a lot of people so you can earn from your downline. You can also buy referral packages from the PT site. This is the easiest way to earn cash but it comes with quite a bit of risk since many PT sites are run by scammers and even if the site is legit it can still go bankrupt overnight. If you choose to work with PT Sites only invest in the ones that have been around for a while and is proven to pay the members.

Tips on Increasing Your Landing Page Conversion Rate
There are three major ways in which you can create your landing page conversion rate. All landing pages created by professionals usually include these three elements at a few others.
The first way in which you can increase your conversion rate is through personalization. This is usually done in two ways: the first way is by providing a photo of yourself. The second way is by adding your signature to the bottom of your landing page. This radically increases visitors’ trust. Most people who resist buying products online do so because they’re weary of getting scammed by a faceless liar, who wont be around when they need help or when they need to return the product. By adding your picture and signature, you can gain visitors’ trust.
Another way in which you can increase your landing page conversion rate is by using black text or a white layout. Regardless of what anyone tells you, this is one of the easiest ways in which to make your page look professional, rather than pathetic or desperate.
The third way in which you can gain trust is by offering something for free. This is generally what you will do if you’re using a squeeze page to generate leads: you’ll offer a free report or five-day course – and then use that to generate leads, which you will later upsell or generate revenue from via affiliate sales. Why is this technique so effective? Quite simply because it allows them to judge your work and ideas before they actually have to pay for them. Additionally, it builds trust.
In addition to these three general ways in which to increase your conversion rate, you should always guarantee a product. If you sell through Click Bank, you actually wont have a choice. But if you’re using Paypal or some other check out program, you will want to make sure you clearly state that customers can return your product for any reason within a given period of time after the purchase.
Follow all of these steps and you will significantly increase your landing page conversion rate.
Driving Traffic into Your Landing Page
Driving traffic into your landing page – it sounds easy, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. And no matter how great your landing page is, it wont matter if no one ever reads it. Furthermore, if everyone in the world other than your target audience reads it, it also wont matter. This is why you need to find media through which you can drive targeted visitors to your landing page.
One way in which you can drive traffic to your landing page is through natural search engine optimization. This is the slowest process, but it is also one of the best ways to ensure a continually-increasing stream of traffic over time.
Generating natural search engine traffic generally entails getting links to your site. While reciprocal linking was once the best strategy, experts now believe that major search engines are devaluing reciprocal links in favor of one-way links and triangular links (which search engines can’t really detect).
Another way in which to get natural search engine traffic is by optimization your website for certain keyphrases. You can do this by creating pages that specifically focus on one keyword on your given niche. You can then set the page extension to that keyword and optimize the content at a 1.5% density for that keyword. You will also want to use it in header and title tags.
Now, in addition building natural search engine traffic, you will want to consider using pay per click advertising. You can do this by opening an account with Google Adwords.
As mentioned earlier, successful Google Adwords campaigns do two things: they group keywords into multiple, small, related groups – and they send leads to multiple, tweaked landing pages.
This means you will have to start with some careful keyword research; and you will then have to alter your landing pages to match that research.
These are some of the most commonly used tools for driving traffic to a landing page; however, they are not always the most effective.
In the first portion of this article, we discussed driving traffic into your landing page using pay per click advertisement and natural search engine optimization. Now, both of those methods can be effective, but they both usually have rather high barriers to entry and require a lot of work.
Luckily, you do have another option: human connections. And this is where most Internet marketers fail. They don’t realize the power of human connections because they are so caught up in the idea of making transactions and collecting massive checks without having to deal with customers and clients.
One quick way to get traffic through human connections is a joint venture. You can enter into a joint venture by compiling a list of possible “partners” — or people who might be able to assist you in some mutually-beneficial way. This list might include other list owners in your niche, site owners in your niche, and experts.
There’s only one important thing you should keep in mind when contacting joint venture partners – and that is to make it as quick, easy, and beneficial for them as possible. If they have no incentive for doing it, they probably wont even reply to you. And if it isn’t easy, they’ll accept other joint venture offers over yours.
Another way in which you can drive traffic to your landing page is through blog and forum posting; however, it is important that you do not spam, as many businesses do. Instead, actually participate on the forum, provide people with something of value; and, after a while, post your product in your signature – and try to network with people on the forum who work in similar fields.
Your approach to blog posting should be similar. Include a signature file that links back to your landing page, but don’t spam. Instead, post useful comments. This is not only more ethical, but it is plainly more effective. Spam gets deleted. Good comments get praised, inducing people to follow your link and check out your products.

How to Write a Landing Page that Converts
In addition to careful copywriting, there are other important things you must take into consideration when writing a landing page that converts. For instance, it is important to build a compelling case for a time-bound offer.
Now, this doesn’t mean you have to invent fake deadlines and constantly revise them each week. This is a good way to guarantee your complete loss of credibility in the shortest amount of time possible.
However, when planning your copy, you will want to make sure that you constantly urge the reader to act immediately by inserting a number of “calls to action,” as I’ve mentioned previously.
You may want to consider using fly-ins or pop-ups to create more urgency – or to make a time-bound offer. Perhaps you can use a countdown to build urgency (i.e., when someone arrives at your landing page, they have five minutes to purchase the product at the lowest price).
Now, if you’re creating a squeeze page, you might want to employ slightly different tactics. Rather than building a compelling case with multiple triggers and calls to action over the course of 1000 words, you may want to simply condense that all into a compelling headline and one paragraph of “benefits.”
For a completely free-to-join squeeze page, you more than likely wont have a considerable amount of resistance to joining, unless the visitor a) doesn’t see any benefits; and b) suspects that you will sell their email address to spammers.
Both of these problems are relatively easy to overcome. In your headline, simply state the exact benefits they will receive for joining – as always, mixing in psychological triggers. In your first paragraph of copy, give them a compelling reason to join now (i.e., the price might go up, the list might become private, you’ll get this amazing report)
Now, to overcome the second problems, simply include a short line under your opt-in form that explains that you will not – under any circumstances – spam them or sell or give away their email address and name.
Most people have no idea how to write a landing page that converts. Instead, they slop together elements that they have seen used in other landing pages – but usually do not put them together in the same way the owner of the successful landing page did.
One major problem is copy. And that’s fine. Not everyone is going to be an excellent writer – nevermind a copywriter. But as someone selling a product or trying to build a list, it is important that you know your strengths and weaknesses – and that you either spend the time to overcome them or hire someone else to do it for you.
With copywriting, for instance, it is important to use a mix of compelling sales points with powerful psychological triggers. Most people who create a salespage miss either one or both of those elements.
For instance, they might concentrate so much on building hype that they don’t actually explain what solution they are providing – and for whom they are providing it. If I don’t have a specific problem that your product solves, why would I buy it? I wouldn’t.
Now, if they fail to sprinkle in psychological triggers, such as “scientifically proven,” “guaranteed,” and “shocking,” no one will feel compelled to continue reading, as the benefits will have a low or average perceived value.
In addition to these two problems, some salespages lack coherency and direction. The copy looks amateurish and it doesn’t slowly grind forward, breaking down the visitor’s resistance to the sale – and compelling him or her to buy more and more at each sales point.
Additionally, if there aren’t multiple calls to action – another form of psychological trigger – then a potential visitor might never feel compelled enough to pull out his or her credit card on the spot and make the purchase.

Twitter Marketing Made Easy
Jan 29th
Twitter Marketing is another brand new method of online or internet marketing focusing on the use of the popular social networking and blogging websites today. The individuals who use this form of social networking tool can write, send and read messages popularly known as “tweets”. These tweets are now the latest tool being used in the world of online or internet marketing by numerous advertisers and publishers. The people making tweets can thus make short and informative tweets for a certain website, product, good or service, promoting it by containing all of the necessary and positive features for initial reading by the individuals who eventually encounter these messages as they surf the internet and the World Wide Web.
What is a tweet? This question has been asked by thousands of individuals all over the world. To answer this query, a tweet is a text based work or composition that has a maximum total of 140 characters displayed upon the maker or author’s profile in the said social networking site. The author of these tweets may or may not have any “followers”, or individuals who have subscribed to the said author’s tweets. Any new tweet made by the said author will be instantly relayed to his or her followers, ensuring that any form of advertisement or promotion of the said product, good or service is adequately promoted or advertised.
These tweets can be received in various ways and means. Firstly, these tweets are initially received by the followers or subscribers via the tweeter website. By accessing the tweeter social networking site, these followers or subscribers can immediately view any tweet made by the authors of the said short compositions. Secondly, these tweets can also be accessed via SMS or short message service applications widely available in the internet as of today. Accessing thru the tweeter website is generally free of charge, but using SMS in order to obtain or view these tweets may incur in expenses such as phone service or network provider service charges. If you are looking for alternative ways and means in order to earn money in the fastest or quickest way possible, then this Twitter Marketing is the perfect money making opportunity for you as of today.
You can earn money making these tweets by simply following numerous steps. Firstly, you have to look for an advertiser that wishes to promote his or her product, good or service by using these tweets. Secondly, you need to register to the said advertiser’s website or URL domain by providing all of the basic data and information about yourself such as your full name, address, mobile number, telephone number, e-mail address and other important and pertinent stuff. Probably the most important field that you must provide is the payment processor that you wish to use in order to receive any and all payments directed to you. You can then perform any task related to constructing these tweets set by your advertiser. Pretty soon you’ll realize how much more money you are making because of this unique tool.
